Most people will experience some of these feelings from time to time. In some cases, the feelings are an inward manifestation of an outward event such as the loss of a loved one, a divorce, a change in career or a change in environment brought on by a move or transfer. For most, these feelings will dissipate relatively quickly. For others, the feelings can be persistent and, if left unattended, can cause severe consequences, including prolonged depression, addictive behaviors and complications in school.
Do you have a nurturing family? They are genuine, honest and loving. I can be listened to and be interested in listening to others. I can take risks. House is light and colorful with comfort and enjoyment. People are comfortable. The evidence of loving isn't just taking out the trash or cooking or bringing home the paycheck. People show it also by talking openly and listening with concern, by being straight and real with one another, by simply being together. Are you living with friends, people you like and trust, and who like and trust you?
Symptomatic Abusive Behaviors
Do any of these feelings sound familiar?
